I need someone to run this website, it's pretty basic, adding gigs to the calendar, flyers to the archives and adding relevant news items. It is unpaid, but I've been doing this for 8 years without pay, so don't even bother complaining!

Shut The Hell Up! "Calling it Quits" Tour
 New Plymouth Punk Rock band Shut The Hell Up! have decided to call it quits on future activities.
The decision was made when 100% time and effort could not be committed to the band, and to go out on a high note, still friends and ready to take on whatever comes up in the future.
One final tour will happen with shows in Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth.

Update regarding Chris Snowden (Sticky Filth)
 At 2.30pm on Friday 16th July 2010, Chris Snowden, Guitarist and long – time member of New Plymouth band Sticky Filth was struck by a car while crossing Dominion Road in Auckland. Chris has sustained head injuries and is in a stable condition in Auckland hospital. Prognosis at this early stage is positive.

Submission Emails are working again.
I'm pleased to say that the submission emails are working again.
If you have a gig coming up (Even an out-of-town one, people from all over the country and the world stop by this site!) send it in, its free, helps exposure and helps support the scene in general. This is an independant project, it is not run by a venue, a label or anything to do with a secret agenda. The overt agenda of this site is to promote N.P/Taranaki music and our endeavours. Be proud of who we are and what we do, every submission gets published, if you go through the effort of submitting the info, I go to the effort of posting it in the calendar, and writing a press blurb about it.

New Plymouth bands score G.B.H Support Slots
 New Plymouth bands STICKY FILTH and SHUT THE HELL UP! have landed support slots for bona fide Punk Rock legends G.B.H from the U.K!
Sticky Filth will support for the 3 shows of the NZ leg (Ak, Wgtn and Chch) while Shut The Hell Up! will play at the Wellington Show. G.B.H are touring with their brand-new album "Perfume and Piss" (I personally recommend this album, its fucking awesome!- Craig). It's their 11th studio album and shows no sign of the band slowing down or watering down their music.

New Plymouth Record Fair.
The first New Plymouth Record Fair takes place ay Senior Citizens Hall, 27 Liardet St, New Plymouth on 29 August, 2010.
A bunch of record dealers,traders and collectors will been there selling Lps, 45's cd's badges,turntables and other music related goodies. All genres of music and tastes will be represented.
If you have records you don't want, don't have a record player anymore then book a stall and turn those records into cold hard cash.
Are you looking for that unfindable record, this might just be the place to get it

With the increasing ease (unless you're on XT, lol!) of accessing the internet via mobile phones, Ive decided to use a plugin that will alow this site to display in your mobile phones, so if your ever out and about and want to know what shows are happening, just point your mobile phone browser to this site and hey presto! most common types of mobile browser are supported, but if not, send me an email describing the problem and what type of browser you are using.
